Finally!
I got a part time job!
I'll be working at the Mediterranean cafe in town 5-6 days a week, but I still don't start for a week and a half.
This restaurant does internationally themed foods (as opposed to just a deli or fast food or something) so it is more culturally aware than other restaurants in town... and its food is delicious and the boss is so nice (she did our wedding cake so I knew her before the interview).
I know that people, including myself might raise an eyebrow and think I'm "settling" for a restaurant job, but in fact there is nothing in my field in this town and this will not only be very enjoyable for me but also give me time to volunteer for a local single mothers' shelter in the afternoons (which WILL be good on my resume when we move and I try to get a job with a non-profit).
In other news, I'm watching Dawson's Creek season 3 on DVD and aside from its horrendous alternate theme song, the scenarios are much more ridiculous and hilarious than the past 2 [boring] seasons.
