Hung 6 pictures, 3 empty frames, and a "tapestry" (tablecloth) in my apartment. it's getting much more home-like now. My roommate is a musician and we have a piano in our apartment. I like to listen to her as she writes her own songs.
Doug's in England until the 25th, leaving me to my own devices, namely playing cash machine on facebook and continuing to clean up "moving in" messiness here and there. Today I took all of my recyclables (paper and cardboard from moving, beer bottles from Lisa and Adam) to the transfer station like a good little environmental steward. I took a lot of our plastic bags in to Wal-Mart because they're the only ones who take such things in town. I had to go inside the store to the customer service desk to find the box for them.
After spending a cent at Wal-Mart in 2009 it felt weird and surreal going in there today. I still haven't shopped there so far in 2010 which is kind of a big deal as it is where most McPhersonites get their day-to-day items. I have either a) gone to the actual grocery store, b) gone to specialty stores or c) gone without whatever it is I "need" to buy.
