I did a lot of talking with Doug this weekend, yes talking, not just texting... although we did text pretty much all day each day. Eee!
Am I stupid for keeping my faith alive that there's something there? I guess we'll see. He seems to be more... invested (?) in our friendship/relationship lately which is just fueling my enthusiasm. We never talk about "us" which is fine by me because I don't want to freak him out or pressure him into some kind of relationship, long-distance or otherwise, because I don't want the pressure myself.
I'm looking forward to May! My plane ticket is all paid for which lets me focus on saving up for a hotel, in case nobody has room for me to stay with them.
Also, we made plans to meet up in Las Vegas when U2 releases their tour dates for No Line on the Horizon to see the show together and just do the Vegas thing. He loves poker. I just love the spectale of the city in general. Even if our friendship doesn't evolve into anything more, its this kind of stuff (common love of music and just generally all things awesome) that makes me value him as one of my closest friends!
Also, please go see Slumdog Millionaire sometime this week! You people who mentioned that you might not be particularly interested in it, just take my recommendation for what its worth and go see a great flim :)
