moving day
Actually moving day was yesterday. I AM SO SORE!!! But I'm in my new place.
I am thankful for my mom and dad... even if they overcomplicate EVERYTHING I wouldn't be in my new apartment without their help.
This place seems a LOT bigger than my old apartment. It only has one bedroom but the kitchen is seriously like 3x bigger and the living room is probably 50% larger than my old one. AND we have a (tiny) balcony overlooking a (somewhat brown and depressing) park where lots of people take their dogs for walks <3 What else. There doesn't seem to be a mold infestation here like there was in my old place, which means my lungs are sooo happy :)
Right now I am supposedly working on a paper for my Comparative Politics class but I can NOT stay focused!!!! I promised myself to get (at lease) 3 pages done today but I'm barely at one page (and its the first page--like a fourth of it is the MLA header... ugh). Other than the lack of progress everything is going really well now. No finals tomorrow so I will finish my paper then because its due Tuesday.
I am so glad that my new apt is less than 10 minutes from school, because I won't feel as guilty going home tomorrow during my 4-hour break between work shifts (I work 1-11 and 3-7 Mondays).
It is taking extreme self-discipline to keep from putting stuff away and FOCUS on writing/studying for finals. Five more days~ and then I'll have another month of school. Hahaha.
I am using my Mama Pitrelli icon because her expression symbolizes the sort of "triumph" I feel, with a new apartment, the semester coming to an end, and whatnot. Independent ladies whut WHUT~
