Y turned 3 last week, I pulled off two birthday parties one in Sacramento with the extended family and then one here, it was so fun!! I usually stay far away from Walmart but when i was in the valley i let that retail vortex pull me in and i literally lost time. 3 hours later I emerged wondering what happened. That's all the Walmart I need for the next year or two - its amazing how they have everything under the sun and yet nothing, nothing. I'm still paranoid i wasn't able to remove every single last tag or label that might have been hiding an RFID tag but oh well! She's still talking about her 'haba-shert-day' and now that the volume of toys and books and dolls and craft supplies has somehow doubled, it's time to make some of them disappear...

This morning she started her second day of preschool. And it was the first day she leapt out of bed happy to start the day - no meltdowns - no extended negotiation on what to wear, or how to fix her hair. 'Mommy its time to go to school, we have to go!' I could not believe my ears. Could it be that easy? She just loves it - and now I'm loving it!

Work is....work. I feel like i'm doing 2 1/2 jobs for the compensation of one. China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea and now Japan, and oops another person (retired/went on stress disability/quit) June can you take this account too? I give myself another year, longer only if i can get into grad study at UCB or Santa Clara in fall 06 since the company will pay. Otherwise i think i might have to make my 10th dash over the ocean for a time. I can only take this american life in doses of 18-36 months I think. Life's too short.
