It is not easy, working with incompetents. The presidentship of the EU being meant to be passed on from national leader to national leader, as you well know, I had to end my term in that office a while back. And yet the current holder of the position, President Sarkozy, is proving himself utterly incapable of any sort of positive action in international crisis (and seems more concerned with founding an illusionary Mediterranean Union that running the actual European Union, may I add).
So I had to interrupt my vacation, go to Tiflis, and personally urge President Medvedev to take the Russians troops back. One has to do everything oneself in this continent, let me tell you!
