Well, it's been a busy week

May 20, 2007 20:46

While some of you WA members were prancing around, comparing you hairdoes and speculating about who exactly blindfolded whom, some of us did some hard work.

First, I had the pleasure of seeing dear Nicolas again, this time as France's top man.

This is us sharing a little joke about how ridiculous wavy hair looks on politicians:

Don't worry, my dear, it wasn't out of affection, it was merely standard courtesy. You know, it's always so surprising to find a woman who has lost her way out of the kitchen and into politics, you understand how we can't help but be a little confused. Would you like us to draw you a map so you can find your way back? Might be easier for you...

*smiles at direct insult* Now, now Angela, let's not start with who's uglier than who, shall we? Some of us don't have to wear an inch of foundation to make us look passable.

And really, I thought we agreed to be cordial, what did you want me to do besides theatre, sign away all my gas reserves? Dream on.

I thought "Kinder, Kirche, Küche" was an adage we Communist or ex-Communist countries had forsaken?

At least I don't go around kissing people's hands.

You don't need to sign any reserves away - just telling us a few days before each of your little winter tantrums would be nice.

It's such an accurate saying, isn't it? And it just doesn't translate well into any other language. And don't forget, some of us ex-Communist countries have (re)converted to Orthodoxy... It still holds, but we'll forgive you for wanting to play with the big boys, you act almost like one of them, anyway. But we have to kiss your hand to keep not only you but all the other aspiring women in their place. They don't call it a man's world for nothing.

And if you had to live through a Russian winter, you'd understand the tantrums a little better. You Germans think that -15C is cold! *shakes head*

And please, PLEASE forgive me for having to write all this - being a radical feminist (if actual egalitarianism is considered 'radical') it _kills_ me to say all this, but it would be a little out of character if Vlad were any type of feminist... though he is having major personal crises due to his relationship with Dominique...

My, my, I'd never have thought you'd admit we Germans are "accurate" - I presume the next step is to officially recognise our superiority, isn't it? Then you'll imitate us at last, and perhaps Russia will at last fare somewhat better once a woman is at its head.

No problem, I do understand that player and character are two different people! Sometimes Ségo makes me say things... well, you get the picture.

Accurate is a far cry from superior. And what exactly would we gain by imitating you, I wonder... Thank you, but no thanks.

Ah, so you're not really a whip-weilding dominatrix? Well, at least that's sorted, then...

Accurate made us the heart of the European Union. The superiority you claim has left you with the last remains of a past lie you called glory.

ER... No! ;)

You may be the heart of the European Union, but you definitely lack soul. And we exactly did I claim superiority? I take back the accuracy comment, as you seem to be putting words into my mouth.

We lack soul? We lack soul?

You're German, you don't know the meaning of the word!

*coughs, splutters, coughs harder*

My father was a preacher, you miscreant!

Miscreant? You can just go on thinking that if you like... As far as I'm concerned, you're the heretic, but I'm sure we'll find out who was right on the other side. Why worry about it now? All I'm saying is that just because you have religion doesn't necessarily mean that you have soul.

I have enough soul not to carry on inhuman, injust, gory wars, thank you very much.
