I ended up not having to babysit today. Which was nice because I stayed later than I expected to last night. And Lily was a huge pain in my ass. That girl is lucky I adore her. I'm pretty sure she would just pretend to be asleep so I would get up to leave just so she could sit up and start crying again. I didn't get her down until after 1. Which is a whole lot of late for a baby. Apparently Bridgette's on-again-off-again boyfriend stole her car last night and she called the cops on him. Personally... I think it's funny.
My brother called me yesterday and asked me if I knew what the name of the new Justin Timberlake album was. I said no. He said, "it's called justified. I don't appreciate that." If you knew my brother... that would be a whole lot of funny to you.
It's just me and my dad this weekend because my mom's in DC visiting the Emster. So we had wurpula strumpet for dinner last night. It's this very ethnic Dutch dish that we can't ever have because my mom is not down with the ethnic food. We were eating it last night and all I kept thinking was that I wish Rick was here. Not because he would have espicially enjoyed it (it's most definately an aquired taste) but because he seems to get such a kick out of my father's immigrant status. Rick should send me an email or something since we haven't talked in a while. We're having seafood chowder and brie tonight for dinner. We can eat so much better when my mom's not around. She doesn't appreciate good food. My sister took her to this amazing restaurant in DC on Friday night... seriously, it's one of the best DC has to offer. When you get the city guide, it's says if you have a hundred bucks to blow, you should blow it there. My mom hated it. My mom is a whole lot of Italian (it's where the extra appendage jutting out of my face comes from) and the chef was born and trained in northern italy... and she hated it. She wanted spaghetti. "Normal spaghetti" she said. I really wonder how it is I came from her.
