proxy is the way
for a minute there, i thought our web administrator blocked my access to LJ. not that i don't have other options. they've pulled the plug on gmail as well, but my research skills have allowed me access to these sites nevertheless, the firewall notwithstanding. but i had to review our internet policy to see if i've violated it. i'm happy to say i'm still very much within its bounds.
