i stayed at home over the weekend, and managed to throw out a big black bag of trash that has collected inside my room since i last fixed it. which is before christmas, if i’m not mistaken. i’m not done yet. i plan to maybe get another shelf where i can put my other books and things that are absolutely useless but stay with me because i’m too sentimental to get rid of them. i really really should get rid of some of these things. i’ve started by going through my clothes and decided that some should either be donated to some grief or disaster-stricken place, or to the neighborhood ukay-ukay. i’m still not done with fixing my room, and there’s still a lot of dust to shake off of a lot of things, but i’ve made great progress.
in fact, this last weekend, other than cleaning my room, i also managed to sneak in visits to the gym (ran for 25 minutes), a good game of badminton (partnered with malvin, and we clobbered our rivals, 5-0), and some shopping (got dance pants and running shorts! what a weird combination, haha). all in all, taking a break from my out-of-towners wasn’t bad at all. i mean, absence makes the heart grow fonder (how very “little women”; next you’ll hear me saying “necessity is the mother of invention”), and the next trip promises to be even more special.
