Just saw "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" (which I'm only able to say in the "Welcome to the World of Tomorrow" voice from Futurama).

Geek heaven? Hell yes. And the rocket pack, Iain! You forgot to mention the rocket pack! :-D

I was sitting there watching that scene thinking "No way is that going to happen", and then the rocket pack did its thing and we both applauded loudly. It was brilliant. It was one of the most entertaining films that I've seen all year, and I think it's very repeat watchable.

Clearly the rocket pack wasn't the key highlight for me that it was for everyone else. :-) Cool gadget, though!

I agree about the film - I fully intend to buy it on DVD when it comes out.
