I knew it, Kings is going to get axed, but damn if NBC isn't drawing it out like torture. After 4 eps, they gave it a week off and bumped the show from Sunday night to Saturday night... only if you were in the west it didn't show because an MLS game was on. (WTF, MLS on NBC at night -- on a Sunday. WHAT?) Damn lucky I was able to see that episode because we also get an NBC-East channel. And now after that 5th Episode was shown it's being given a lengthy hiatus of 2 months so that the remaining 7 Eps are shown in the summer. So what are they showing in the meantime? Law & Order reruns.
Good job NBC, you have what is quite possibly the best written network drama to come out of the US in a long damn time, and piss it away before even giving it a decent chance. If you're gonna cancel the show at least don't change the scheduled night to something else, or cut it clean off the air rather than stringing it out.
On other TV watching stuff, I'm now at the tricky spot of the F1 season, where the scheduled stuff all airs very late at night between midnight and 5am for about 6 months straight, with no reruns being shown. I don't want to tape the stuff, because of the interactive nature of the live internet feed. I see something on the timing info that makes me go "WTF" and then a few seconds later they show what happened on TV. I like that engagement, but working out how to stay up all night on race weekends is going to knacker me.
