Everybody in my province is getting a $100 "climate action dividend" to offset a new 2 cent/Litre tax on gas that goes into effect next month. I just cashed mine in today, and I just saw a bit on the news that has me slackjawed.
The opposition NDP are asking citizens to give the cheque to them. They say that if you give them the money they will put in place a better scheme than the government has now once they are elected to form the new government in the next election. Yeah. Right.
Like I'm giving money to people who've proved they can't manage the economy.
