There is nothing like unstructured time to let you know what really motivates you. In my case, it is real, not self imposed deadlines (duh), and knowing that I will be speaking in front of an audiience.
I'm going to Northwestern U. on Thursday to talk research and get some advice on how best to package and "sell" my research to the journals.
I still need to read three articles, analyze data, and put together a presentation before I leave for chicago on Wednesday.
There is also a conference abstract due tomorrow.
I should also probably find a hotel room :)
I'm still smarting from reading the worst classroom evaluations I have ever received for last semester.
I don't feel like talking about THAT right now though.
