I was watching "It's A Wonderful Life" on Turner Classics the other night. Discovered that Bert and Ernie of Sesame Street were named for two cops (patrol buddies) in the movie.

A quote from Sinclair Lewis: "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross."

I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet.
