I started a community, 
silva_tulga, for the sorts of things that people normally post in their livejournals, because the things I normally post in my livejournal are not those things. If you want to keep up with my life (to the extent that I actually write things up), that's where to look. It's a community, so other people can post there if they want to bring up a topic. (Why isn't this a common thing? I often want to mention something of relevence to someone and their readership that isn't mentioned in a recent comment. I had to wait months for someone to post about their Gamalan in order to tell them something.) Also, I didn't want a second identity to go along with my journal.
