(no subject)
Oh how it pains me to witness our beloved LJ fall into disuse! Scenes of post-apocalyptic cities spring to mind. And yet somehow I doubt we really care, what with facebook being so enthralling and all. There are two reasons I miss LJ though.
1. The frequency with which i wrote and also read thought-provoking material, and was exposed to like minded people posting interesting things (rather than dull status updates or sleazy messages on photos)
2. The old-fashioned way of life that went with LJ. It was the world of writing letters, waiting for responses. None of this instant chat, where everyone says stuff without giving it any thought. None of this 'my relationship doesn't count unless it's posted on facebook' stuff. Heaven forbid people should have to actually ASK if you're single!
Anyway that being the case I solemnly swear to post something on LJ, other than a post about not posting on LJ. Soon. Honest!
