I am such a bad person. It's been almost a week and a half hiatus for my novel, which, thanks to my persistent characters, is getting kicked back into gear once more. I actually reached 50,000 words and a little over by the time NaNo came to its close, but this project just wants to keep going. O.O What can I say? I'm a slave to the whim of my darlings. If they want to drag this project out - well, what can I say, no?

I'm a horrible person for not keeping up with this blog as often as I should. They say a habit takes - what - 30 days to develop? I'm not sure if I have thirty days to devote to the developing of a posting habit! Alack. I'm sure I've lost most of my readers, by now. So why do I keep posting? One can only continue to ask.

I hope all of the people who participated in NaNoWriMo had a great time with it, and I hope you all completed your word goals! I know NaNo can be a daunting prospect, even for me. This was my first year to actually WIN NaNo, I would like to thank stubborn iron will and my amazing pen pal, malision . I don't think I could have done it wihout her! And now we have to wait for a whole 'nother year before we get to do it again. Alack.

Aside from finishing out my NaNo novel, I have another project rapping on the back door of my skull. A shorter project, to be sure, but considering its deadline is sooner in coming, you think it would take the front seat on my 'writing priorities' list. But no, I've managed to shove it onto the back burner and my procrastination will be the very death of me. Simply, I am writing a romance story for my grandmother for Christmas, and I'm not much of a romance writer, but I've always wanted to try my hand at one and I think she would really enjoy it besides. Well, I have discovered one thing over the course of that project so far - I suck at writing romaces. :D At least hetero ones. I don't know if I like how the project is going so far ... if anyone would like to throw some romance writing tips or inspiration at me, please, feel free! I'm no Victoria Holt, but I'm determined to finish this project.

And now I have to go to work, to make the monies, so I can mail Christmas presents this year. Have I mentioned how thoroughly ecstatic I am about Christmas?!

Catch ya'll later!
