(no subject)
Today was awesome. Did the groupie thing and met up with the guys at Matt's house at 5:30. Helped them pack up their equipment and such. Went with Matt and Rich to The Knitting Factory. Helped unload stuff. Sat through some soundchecks and BS'ed for a while.
Then other people showed up. :O Music came on. Occupied my time during the first three bands. Then The Last Word came on, and man alive, they were AWESOME. <3 Being the only one there singing along to all the songs <3 /loser.
So funny story, on the way out this guy was telling Matt that they "kicked ass" [He said that like 9 times.] Then he comes to me and goes "Didn't they kick ass?" and I'm like "Damn straight" and he goes "Were you on drums?" *crickets* "No...I'm a girl."
I guess since I had a drum stick he just assumed...I think he was drunk. o_O
Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention this. Ok, so on the way back home [Jason's parents drove me], there was some really entertaining discussion about the band. And this just amused me so much I had to write it here:
Jason's mom - Jason, you guys really need a gimmick.
Jason [half dead from exhaustion and a headache] - We do have a gimmick... It's called button down shirts.
