the memory i want to forget.
WTF, weather?!? seriously, what.the.fuck. it might as well snow. it's one thing to be cold as frick out, but with all this rain, it really puts a damper on my mood. needless to say, instead of walking, i drove the 1/16th mile to work today.
this week has mostly been kind of bland, with the exception of tuesday night when i had Smithereens rehearsal. i can't believe the cabaret is in TWO WEEKS. we are no where near prepared, hence an extra rehearsal is scheduled for this sunday. even though we have Simon this weekend i told shawn i have to attend, and surprisingly, he has no objections. i think i might be breaking him in a bit. maybe. anyway, rehearsal was awesome. we blocked two scenes and have at least two more to do, plus my Judy Garland repitoire to run through, costuming decisions to make, and lines to memorize. somehow it will all pull together though, that is the sheer beauty of live theatre.
my cross-stitching is really coming along. i still need to buy more dark green thread, plus all the materials i need to make a quilt with horses on it for my sister's birthday in february. it's going to be a big project, but i think she'll really appreciate it.
last night shawn and i took a drive and i made him listen to basically all the musicals i have on my itunes. he didn't seem to mind much. i was shocked that he was actually sort of impressed by Wicked. that show will forever be my all-time favorite.
all i really want to do today is curl up with a blanket, some good TV, and my cross-stitching projects. i'm such a nerd, but i love it.
on an exciting side note, my sister comes home from Colorado next friday. i'm super excited. :D
