Day Two
Yesterday was a very relaxed day for me. I managed to accomplish my primary goal of taking the bus, or should I say two buses, to the University. Once on campus I started phase two of my mission for the day which was to find the spot where I'm supposed to meet the other people in the program on Monday. Let’s just say that my map reading skills weren’t what I thought they were as I spent the next 45min wandering around the campus. This wasn't a bad thing, quite to the contrary actually the campus is beautiful and I had a good time looking at all the different birds and ducks that live there. There was one instance where I looked up in a tree and saw wild cockatoos just sitting in the branches. I was stunned but then I thought ‘I guess they have to be native somewhere.’
After I had found the meeting spot I returned to the house and took it easy for the rest of the day. Jodi and Chris were very nice and cooked dinner for the three of us which was very tasty.
Nothing much is going on today. I’ve been asked to hang around the house and let the other guy who is staying in the house, Ryan, if he arrives while Jodi and Chris are still at work. Other than that I’ll probably take a walk to the local store for some necessities.
