This is a gross story.
So my fingertip is infected. I don't really know how this happened, but I noticed it was super red and swelling and very tender. I was going to leave it alone and see if it got better in a day or two, but I accidentally poked it with nail clippers and freed the pus that was apparently causing the swelling. Now it is still red and tender and hurts, but feels a little better from the freeing of the pus and is also bathed in neosporin. Hopefully it will be okay, because I do not want to have to go to the doctor for an infected fingertip. What a lame ailment. Though it is my middle finger, so it might be fun to show people and flip them off, haha.
In other, much less digusting news, I am sort of on the right track this semester. Got an 81 on my first lab exam in anatomy, and I think I did pretty well on the lecture exam--though I won't find out til next week. Got a B on my first paper for curriculum, and a 100% on the paper I turned in last week for drugs class. It was SO amazing to see 45/45 on the grading sheet for that paper because it took me a while to be able to really buckle down and focus on the paper and I am just really glad that I was able to hit the mark on it. I think that if I continue to strive to get my work done and stay on task, I think I can really pull out some good grades this semester.
I swear, focusing on myself is the best decision I've made in a long time. I said I was going to devote my attention this semester to school and exercise, and it's working. I spent 60 minutes on the elliptical tonight. I've never done that before and it felt amazing! Tomorrow I'm going to the middle school again to continue my observations, and then this weekend I'm working and hopefully getting some paper writing done. This is looking good.
