Clef had had literally centuries of practice at being perfectly serious all the time, and so had no problem maintaining a stoic expression as he quietly replied, "Alright." He felt that arguing any further would have amounted to toying with her, so a simple agreement should have ended the argument - or so he thought.
The Water Knight had other ideas, however, and began spouting completely illogical statements and saying that everything was Clef's fault because he was just letting her throw blame on him. The magician stood there, utterly flabbergasted as he watched her yell and flail around like a cat being teased. Shocked as he was, a heated blush slowly crept up to his cheeks.
The curse on Thursday was quite inspiring, at least for me. I'm not certain if it comes through in the writing, but I am trying to convey the idea that dangerous ladies are the most beautiful of all. I don't know where to go with it from there, though. Perhaps distracting myself for a while will clear any writer's block.
