There's a lot of tall buildings in this city. We're looking for the deity offices, but... I wasn't expecting there to be that many places to look. Has anyone been there before?

Cause. [ looks at her. He can't say anything else without incriminating himself. ]

[Bounces back out of his space a little.]

Why not? [ glad to have a little of his personal space back, though. ]

[Clearly, secrets are only good when she's the one keeping them.]

...Does anybody know about the deities?

Secrets are okay. [ Doesn't know yet that they're pointless things to keep, though. ]

One person said that they're in the biggest building. We can go there tomorrow.

Not from me! [She crosses her arms, but then he says the rest and she cheers up again.]

Okay!

I guess we should go back to the weird house... Since it's dark.

[ lets the subject drop. ]

Yeah. And I'll make supper!

[ starts walking back towards what he thinks is where they came from. ]

[Food! What a wonderful idea. But wait a second.]

I think you're going the wrong way.

[She points in the opposite direction.]

You think so?

[ He casts a slightly worried glance back in the direction he was going, but turns to follow her. It takes a lot to trust her about something like this, but even he will admit that there's probably something to her claims of being able to find things. And he even asked her to lead them back to the house if they got lost, and... well, one supposes he's lost now. ]

... I'll follow you, then.

[So she leads. She's good at finding things, a talent which will one day help her read the future and understand the ways of hitsuzen and even travel dimensions... but right now, it's raw and unrefined. It works well enough for her usual purposes, though (generally wandering off into the forest to practice at magic and being able to find her way back). So it doesn't take too awfully long before the house is visible on the horizon.]

Told~ you~ so~!

[She turns around to look triumphantly at him, skipping backwards.]

Yeah, you did.

[ He doesn't seem to mind admitting that he was wrong. Clow gets lost kind of easily, anyway, and it was even worse before he got his glasses. So he's used to being herded around a little, sometimes by younger kids. ]

Good thing you knew the way, or else we might have been out all night!
