awakenings the fifty-seventh [video]
[this is an intentional video post, shot from the roof of a building. Here, have a head-on shot of one of the parasites climbing up the wall.]
[Clow's voice, offscreen:] My, look at the size of the teeth on that one!
[a little bit of shaky camerawork, and zooming in to get a better view. The parasite is of course cooperating and coming closer.] Its mouth looks somewhat like that of a spider - usually, the bigger a poisonous animal is, the more deluded the venom is. In theory, a bite from something this size should do little more than make you a bit sick, but--
[the creature has now gotten too close for comfort and proceeds to leap at the camera. The camera is dropped and lands facing away from the action as a sword slashing and then a crackling and fizzing and high-pitched screaming of some creature being cooked alive is heard. There's general sounds of movement for a few beats, and then an explosion possibly on the street below.]
[chuckling] Pity I couldn't film that part!
[Clow picks up the camera again, and points it at himself. He looks less pleased than he sounded - smiling, but subdued. His clothing is slightly singed, but he's basically fine.]
Touya-san, Sakura-san - barring any further interruptions, I'll be there shortly.
[looks over the edge of the roof, but then hesitates and looks back at the camera again. The sounds of parasites scurrying around somewhere can be heard and quickly grow a little louder.]
... Would it make more sense for everyone to congregate in one place?
[the leg of another parasite comes into view behind Clow just before the camera switches off.]
