Santa Cruz, Rave, Raggamuffin, Hiking and Power outage Jam sessions!
woahhhh long time no update
So two weeks ago I went to the sustainable food conevrgence in Santa Cruz. it was really similar to last years and was a lot of fun. i drove up with aggie and stephanie stayed friday night at stephanies friends sweet place then went to some work shops and hung out on saturday. In the evening we headed back to Berkeley to make it to the rave at CZ. By the time i got home i had just enough time to eat, shower, and get dressed and head to CZ. The rave was really fun, at first it was pretty intense but it got way better after we kicked people out and had an inhouse after party. Then last weekend i went to raggamuffin festival which was fun. Went with Dita and met up with KT and stef. Scratch Lee perry was pretty fucking funny and stephen marley's acoustic covers of his fathers were awesome. Saturday I went with my friend Chris and the couple thats staying at my house Christina and Hunter on a fat hike in the canyon. I dont think i mentioned them before but Christina and Hunter are my roomates friends from New Orleans that are staying in our sun room. They are soooooo chill and i love having them around the house. they are always helping out and never stepping on anyones toes. i want them to stay! anyways so we all went on a hike and we found a sick log stretched over a creek to smoke and chill at and then went exploring. we ended up finding a bunch of sick paths, had some good conversations, and saw a ton of amazing views of the bay. At night we had some people come to our place and we drank and played beer pong. Then chris and i headed to CZ for the wine and cheese party which turned into a dance party. That was really chill i was totally feelin it. Sunday i slept in and did my workshift at the Co-op and got some reading done. Then yesterday was really chill cause our power went out and we all hung out in the living room with candles and had a fat jam session with drums, bells, shakers, and a ton of other stuff. it was hella fun to all get together and jam out in the rain. After we lied around the couches in blankets telling stories around the candles. I told my ever famous river story which im surprised i still remember. That story is fuckin awesome for telling. I also started this group this week called co-ops in the community where people from the co-ops work on different community service projects. I figured not only would it be doing a good thing but would be really fun doing it all together. our first project is fixing up a middle school in oakland staurday morning. i hope i can wake up!
