Lately I've been ridiculously worried that I'll never hear a Led Zeppelin Song on Spn. Like, so worried that I google searched "Led Zeppelin song usage rights." Apparently they're known to be pretty strict about who they let use their stuff....
Although they seem to have eased up a bit recently. They let ONE TREE HILL use one of their songs. Which is just... absurd. And tragic. I mean, One Tree Hill? When Spn is basically LED ZEPPELIN:THE TV SHOW. Right? I mean they are just such kindred spirits. I don't think Spn would even exist if it weren't for Led Zeppelin. It's like Zeppelin's illegitimate child. IMHO.
Mild spoiler for upcoming ep title: ( And then to find out that one of the last eps this season is "When The Levee Breaks"--the last track on IV. ) It's just like... enough already. It's such a TEASE! I just know I won't hear that song. Not the Zep version anyway. Just like with Houses of the Holy and What is and What Should Never Be. I mean, I get that it's still a shout out. It's just... not a very exciting one.
I can't imagine the show ending next year having never used at THE BARE MINIMUM one Zeppelin song. I mean, if it were up to me, there would be Zep in every episode. I know there are budget issues etc... but just... I want someone to put this up a few notches on the list of priorities. PLEASE!
Maybe the fans(who care) should start a letter writing campaign to Page and Plant, pleading our case? Ask them to donate "Ramblin' On for the series finale or something.Would something like that be a total waste of time? Mayhaps.....

Also, I was thinking of doing an all-Led Zeppelin fanmix. All Zep songs that are particularly Spn-ish. Would anyone be interested in downloading something like that? Or has it already been done?
