I figured as much, so don't worry.

I remember a time when the library didn't have nearly the same amount of books that it has now. Proof that the collection is still growing, little by little.

No, they don't. It's likely a result of shifting - the same could be said for the food supply in the stores, or certain clothing or items appearing in the shop.
