MadMartigan
Saturday, May 24th MadMartigan played at PS14. Before the show, Melissa, Johnny, Victor and I ate dinner at Sushi Maki and headed to the show. It was their first show since the New Times article named them 'Best New Rock Band in Miami for 2008.' The first band played and nobody was up watching them, when MadMaritgan got on stage everybody crowded forward and the whole club was on its feet. It was the craziest show yet! Lora got her foot stomped on and some guy was thrown into me and I got a gigantic bruise on my calf. Everyone was screaming, yelling, cheering and moshing, even getting punched in the face...it was fantastic! The screaming for another set kept up more than two minutes after the set had ended.
After the show Victor and I went to Mary's Coin with Lora and Red where we met up with Jose El Rey, Peter and a ton of others. We all had batidos and talked for hours.
