Charlie/Robbie and Robbie/Akiko sibling times in one chapter: YES GOOD. (It just occurred to me why I like Robbie and Akiko together so much and I think it's because in USA we had the Liv/Ben romance and the Charlie/Ben sibling relationship and I was subconsciously mourning the loss of sibling time in World with Ben not around all the time BUT NO, THERE'S MORE.)
HEHEHEHE. I'm glad it's filling that void for you -- I'm going to devote a lot more time to Akiko and her relationships with everyone in the next few bits. And I'm looking forward to more of Alberto, too, because I've got some great ideas in mind for him.
From afar, it seems there is trash covering the island. It is not until the boat glides closer that the details become obvious: it is not trash hanging from the branches and scattered across the moss, but dolls. Hundreds-thousands-of them. Plastic, porcelain, cloth, wood, many now missing limbs or clothes or even eyes.

It is a macabre and unsettling sight, but Julian’s hesitant smile holds no threat. This is not some profane shrine built by a madman, but rather a very poor and sad man’s attempts to be kind to forces beyond his full reckoning. Julian apologizes frequently for the state of disrepair so many of the dolls have fallen into, explaining that he hasn’t the time nor money to replace or restore them, and that he fears removing even damaged dolls will upset the girl.
