Episode Guide Personality: Dean Winchester is what you would call a man's man. He has embodied a macho personality since he was young and had to take on the role of father to his younger brother Sam. Rather than talk about his feelings Dean will give a sarcastic comment or blow it off as nothing he couldn't handle, not to worry. A tough guy, he pretends he can take it all while suffering on the inside. Family comes first for Dean and Sam first in that line, he goes above and beyond the title of big brother and even admits to not wanting to disappoint Sam. He does not come off as caring, but he is a man who feels deeply, he just hides that feeling.
He is a brash man who has a blunt, cocky way of speaking. Confident in himself outwardly almost at all times and inwardly while he may doubt, Dean Winchester does not give up. He believes in humanity's right to freedom and even though obtaining that costs him what he cares most for in the world, Dean does what needs to be done. He will plan out his attack, if he has the time. But if some one he cares for is in danger and time isn't an option Dean has no issue with rushing in guns blazing and winging it. He treats most women as a good time, fun to talk to, do a little extra on the side but doesn't really let himself get involved, because his life as a hunter doesn't allow him to have a 'normal' life. Over time he goes from not seeming to want that life to thinking that it might not be so bad, but part of this is wishing that things could be different for Sam. Which for Dean it always comes back to, what he could have done to make life better for Sammy, the mistakes he feels he's made. And never will he feel he is not to blame, protecting his brother is his job. One given him to by his father, who Dean is loyal to, to the point of blind faith. He likes to pull pranks, crack jokes, drink beer and in general satisfy the urges he has, when he has them, fighting included. There are a few women who can count as friends or close to Dean and those are women who seem to be able to get through to him on a more intellectual level than other women do.
His life as a hunter has left Dean a little more dangerous than your average human, he will kill if he has to, but Dean will not kill a human, although he has killed those who were possessed by Demons and to save Sam he is willing to go to most extremes, though harming children and innocents, humans remains outside of Dean's realm of what's acceptable. He can be a good person to talk to, he knows a lot about life but you have to be to get past that brash outer layer and maybe get lucky to find out that there is some thing a little deeper to him.
Dean Winchester is not a man who trusts easily and if some one is a non-human that is even more likely to not happen. A life as a hunter has taught Dean to kill the supernatural before it kills humans, before it harms people. His job is to be a 'hero', even if he doesn't feel like one. He likes his music loud, he loves his car, it's his baby after all. As for music taste, well the man hums Metallica to calm himself, need any thing else be said. He likes his food greasy and fried. His favorites are bacon cheeseburgers, beer and pie, don't forget the pie, he can get angry.
Dean can have a temper that sets off quick and explodes like a volcano, he will bellow and lash out any way he can. He does not like to be held captive, especially since his time in hell. And one thing that Dean never tells any one, is he battles a part of himself that was changed in hell, a part of himself that died inside at the things he did and how he can not forgive himself for the sick part of him that enjoyed them, because of what had been done to him.
Skills | Powers:Dean Winchester is a bit more skilled than your average human, being raised as a hunter and living his adult life as one has left the man with more than one notable skill. Dean is proficient in using both firearms and bladed weapons, bombs as well. He is also good in hand to hand combat and will not hesitate if this is the only means of fighting. He has a good set of military like skill, including tracking, tactical planning and in a pinch can use what ever is at his disposal as a weapon. Dean also possesses an extensive knowledge of mythology and the supernatural as well as how to kill them. Dean spent some time in hell and during this time the hunter learned an art he is not proud of knowing but did well at and that is torture of another person. Dean is a top notch con man and due to his years on the road hunting is a good judge of people, able to read them and manipulate them if necessary. His job as a hunter also gives Dean an extensive knowledge of police, F.B.I and other government agencies and how they work. He is a master at escape and stealth, if Dean honestly doesn't want to be seen or found, he won't be, unless the person is highly skilled or happens to know him well enough to know what moves he would make. He has a determination that drives him and while not exactly above average strength Dean is by no means a weak man and can take a hit as well as give one. Dean is an old hand at being a 'thief' he can pick a lock, steal a car, and do most things that are chalked up as criminal acts as well as any top notch fugitive. He also is a mechanic, able to rebuild the impala when it was totaled Dean has a vast knowledge of automobiles and how they work. It should be noted that it is shown in canon that Dean is in fact immune to the effects of Famine, the horseman of the apocalypse.
Dean's biggest weakness is easy to tell you, it's his brother Sam. Dean will do any thing for Sam, from the time they were children his life has revolved around protecting Sam and stopping him from giving in to that darker side. He doesn't believe his brother is a monster and Dean will do any thing, including sacrifice his own soul to save Sam. It is a blind spot that is manipulated time and again, because as much as he tries to change, one thing remains the same, Dean will always protect his brother and suffer the guilt when he can't. Another weakness of Dean's, he tends to blame himself, even when things were beyond his control. He can be quick to temper and a shoot first ask questions later personality can cause him trouble. Dean also has that cocky, sarcastic way of his that never fails to get him in to a sticky spot now and again.
First Person Sample:[Voice Format: Setting: Consider it as if Dean has been in game for a little bit, just to give a sense of how he'll be once he's integrated] [He had finally got the hang of the tablet, it wasn't his favorite way to communicate but it was all he had. The screen shook as it came in to focus then cut off, the hunter's face never showing. Then the voice feed screeched to life and finally Dean posted his message to the network.]
Hey, I got one question, where in the hell does a guy get a cold beer, hot chicks, that ain't dead and a slice of pie?
Third Person Sample: Dean could feel the breeze on his face coupled with the soft rocking motion of the boat. For a moment he thought he was dreaming, it wasn't like Bobby had an available boat he would have taken out for a ride. Not like Dean would have taken that ride either way, not with Sam locked in that panic room, detoxing. He didn't sit up immediately, instead Dean's hand reached down and found the knife in his boot. Carefully he rolled to his side and was on his feet in a matter of seconds. Right arm raised he had the knife poised to strike as green eyes darted around the deck of the ferry. "What's the big idea?" Was he dreaming? He didn't think so and then he felt a sudden jar that caused him to stumble forward. The ferry had docked, Dean looked around him and couldn't shake the feeling that this was bad, what ever it was, it wasn't supposed to be happening.
He never even got another word out before he was gripped by a skeletal hand, he jabbed at the hand with his knife before it tossed him to the shore "Geez, can't even say good bye, friendly bunch aren't you." Dean rose from the ground and dusted his jeans off. He slid the knife in to the back of his pants where it was easily accessible. Dean didn't know where he was, but he knew one thing, it didn't feel right and it damn well didn't feel like a dream. Some one was messing with him and every tense muscle in his body that was ready for attack said one thing, Dean Winchester was ready to kill to get home if he had to.
He found the tablet that was given to him then "The hell is this, where's my damn phone." He growled, he had to try and get a hold of Bobby or Cas, he had to get back to the house and take care of Sam, people needed to stop dicking around with him he thought. It wasn't that Dean was stupid, but technology was not his strong suit, he could build a bomb, but Sam was the tech geek. He shoved the tablet in to his pocket to secure it and looked around him carefully.
Silent the hunter moved through the crowds, looking any where, searching for a face that he recognized, trying to find his way home.
