My lovely room!
A view of the other side.
As you can see, I have a large plant collection. One of them appears to be dying and nothing I do is helping. Water it more. Water it less. Nothing. Sigh. I alternate my studying between my desk and the rug, which makes for a rather cozy study area. My small white fridge was replaced by large black fridge, making it the communal beer fridge.
Classes have been going well. I have a rather odd schedule, with four of my six classes only meeting once a week. Thursdays and Fridays are great because I have no work to do and can just relax and sleep in. I suppose Tuesday and Wednesday are my busiest. I got a 100 on my first Dante quiz. We had to memorize the first 30 lines of the Inferno, which basically means I was wandering around campus muttering in Italian to myself like a crazy person. Thankfully the next quiz is just 9 lines, the inscription over the gates of hell. I already know the "lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate" line, and the rest shouldn't be too difficult. I got my first reaction paper back from philosophy (we have to write 2-page responses whatever book was assigned that week) and I had good comments, so that class seems to be going fine. My bio class can be a little boring at times but at least it's not too difficult. Plus, the lab has only 6 people in it, making it pretty relaxed. I get to experiment on worms with blisters. Woo! And Rob said that I could work for him. I've got to do some training and work a couple things out in financial aid, but I should be set to start working soon. I have to give a presentation in my Italian conversation class next week, but that should be no biggie.
Other stuff? We have revived Saturday morning breakfasts, which is always a delight. I can't get enough Woodstar. I need to go get some challah tomorrow. I think we'll have Set club this Saturday. On Sunday, Sophie and I are taking a road trip up to Maine to go to a bunny show so she can get a new 'paperweight', as we call them in Talbot. Should be a fun adventure.
