Cats and such

Mom and I have become expert cat wranglers. In the past year or two, there have been a lot of stray cats around our house, probably because people dump their cats in the country when they don't want them any more. We occasionally round up the cats and have animal control pick them up. Recently, there have been three cats hanging around: Lester, Fletcher, and Mister Black (Mister Black was mom's favorite). We spent some time outside the other day trying to lure Fletcher and Mister Black into one of our live traps with tuna and bacon grease. After a fruitless half hour, we went inside and left the trap set. A little while later, we were drawn outside by incessant meowing and found Lester and Fletcher both in the trap - a two-fer! It was pretty awesome. Mom was certainly excited.

Mister Black only got to enjoy one more day of freedom: once animal control took the other two, we managed to catch him in our trap within a few hours. Our yard is now cat free, at least for the moment. I think mom and I should have a cat wranglers TV show, Steve Irwin style. You know you'd watch it.

Let's see, what else have I been up to. I've been working part time at the doctor's office. I'm measuring his patients' tremors with a new little machine. I might also get to house sit for him in August for 10 days, which would be pretty sweet. A nice big house and two cute dogs, plus I'd get paid.

I started playing guitar yesterday. Mom has an old guitar from when she was around my age and I just got some strings for it. I can play a couple of simple songs and my fingers hurt, so I think I'm making some progress.

As my last post stated, there are so many cute baby bunnies right now. Adorableness abounds.
