Greece was good. Thank you to all of you for wishing me a good trip! I went with my parents, which now that i'm 25 is suddenly fun again. Weird, that. When i was 12 it was cool, when i was 16 it was very uncool, and now at 25 it's really nice to go on vacation with my parents. Anyway. We spent most of the time on the beach, and the beach there is great. The hotel was at the top of a hill, and we thought that's ok, cuz we like walking and some exercise is never bad. Wrong! It can be very bad. I used my MBT shoes, which make walking uphill a lot more strenuous, and i managed to ruin my achilles tendon yet again. Yay! *sigh* Hope they'll get better soon. Of course that had to happen, now that i finally managed to get off my lazy ass and start jogging, and started losing a little weight. Oh well, complaining wasn't the point of this point. The point was, I'm really excited about the gift exchange in the Erica leaves comm! I checked my mails on the beach (my parents pay my cell phone bill *cough cough* What? I needed a Norwegian phone when i lived in Austria and i couldn't very well pay it on my own, not that i tried very hard either) just to get my "assignment" and my mind immediately started working. It was so great to just be handed something, "there, write that!", because then you have to work with the inspiration you have... I can't explain it, it's just great to get thrown an idea for a change. Anyway, i started writing on the beach (people must have thought i was the biggest GEEK ever on that beach, cuz when i wasn't reading Chemistry [for my pre-med course] or doing
mind maps, i scribbled frantically in a note book). I already wrote over 3000 words and it was supposed to be "over 1000 words", so i think it'll get pretty long in the end. Oh well. I had a lot of Erica-obsessing to do and all day to do it:p
Oh, and i went swimming of course. The waves were great some of the days, it was really fun. And it was the first time i've been called in by a life guard with one of those baywatch plastic floaty thingy. Apparently i was too far out... Actually, the whole beach was full of young, well-trained, hunky life guards. I'm sure it would have been great if i wasn't gay.
We came home early Friday morning, and i still feel like i'm jet-lagged or something. I'm already getting nervous about the whole Poland thing. I'm moving there in a week! Have any of you been to western Poland and know what it's like?
In a little over a week I'll be in a pre-course for med school... And in a little over a month i'll be studying medicine!:o :D
So, yeah. Just a little update explaining the lack of updates lately. I think i'll finish the gift exchange fic in a couple of days, so i'll post that then. I won't say what it's about, except that it's about Erica and another woman;)
