finally took the plunge
I did it. After seeing so many others do it, I did it. What, you may ask?
Starting in the "Dragon Cave" game.
For those unaware of this internet game, you steal/rescue dragon eggs and then hatch the eggs and raise the resulting hatchlings to maturity. To do this, you need a certain ratio of clicks, views and unique views within a certain time frame. If you don't get them, your egg/hatchling will die. Also, you don't know how many you need-- it's somewhat random based on the type of egg, when you acquire it, etc.
That's the simple version-- there's a lot about managing your ratios, not getting too many views too early (your egg/hatchling can get "sick") and that sort of thing. It's essentially a pixel pet thing.
So... Help me hatch my eggs! I'd have actual code up, but my only Internet access is with my BlackBerry right now, so I'm not going there. But here's the URL for my "scroll": http://dragcave.net/user/ScribbleCraft
They have a bit of time yet, but I wanted to get at least a few views before I moved them to one of the hatchery fan sites for mega-viewing. *g*
