Hrm.. Time for a [minor] life update.
I am once again the Favorite of Lorraine.
ambug666 was the last Favorite of Lorraine, but now I hold that honor, despite putting oozy ointment in Lorraine's eye for puppy pink-eye, and in general doing the medicine-without-a-spoonful-of-sugar thing. Lorraine is a fickle, fickle pup.
The T-shirt Bandit has struck again, this time s/he has struck me. It's a cute shirt of a momma dragon feeding her little one a tasty midknight snack. The sad thing is that I don't wear t-shirts, generally. But don't worry, T-shirt Bandit. I have plans.
I started trying to do water exercises as part of my physical therapy for my knees. I only did it two days, and I think I overdid it. I need to check with my PT about what I did and if I overdid it (which I probably did. Overdid, I mean.)
I have finished the switch plate for the fish bathroom. Or rather, the bathroom that will be fish bathroom. Once we get the damn refugee-from-the-70s wallpaper off the walls. I mean, seriously. The rest of the house is more tastefully (or at least more recently) decorated. What the hell were these people thinking?
Oh, and I got in a hit-and-run. I was the victim, not the runner. I am OK, and the car is presumably OK. But still, that ate up more of my Saturday than I really wanted.
Lorraine had a nice social evening with
monsteralice &
evcelt's dogs, Molly and Judy. Well, mostly Judy, because Molly was havin' none of this young whippersnapper. But Lorraine was very polite to Molly, and tolerated Judy's repeated, extremely vocal, requests to play. And at the end of the evening, she even consented to play a bit with Judy.
Lorraine was also very good at the dog park last Monday, both on and off leash. But when I took her to the vet yesterday (Sunday, 5/11), she was a frickin' pill, frightening a woman with a huge-ass Weimaraner with a snarly-snappy attitude, which made a woman with a doxie (that Lorraine didn't interact with) frightened of Lorraine as well. Sometimes when I think she is doing so well, socially, she turns around does something like this. Sigh. I hope it was because her eye was bothering her and this was making her grumpy-- I really thought she was improving in the socialization department.
Still, even with her puppy pink-eye, she was full of cute. Her eye was itching, so she would take her paw and rub it, which of course is in no way good for her eye, but it looked so freakin' ADORABLE.
Peace, out.
