Wolf Trap has ... turkeys?
No joke. My drive home takes me past the Wolf Trap Farm Park and I saw an odd shape on the side of the road. A dark brown or black mound. I thought "That's new"-- I'm pretty familiar with roadside debris on this stretch. I couldn't quite make out what it was.
Then it moved, which revealed the sillouette and the red wattle. Turkey!
I've never seen one in the wild before. It was just a nice perk-me-up for the drive home. *g*
