It's been about a week since The Fight with Lellow Kake.

Eight days since she left a note with Bar for Lellow Kake, trying to mislead Kate into thinking that Grace had left.
She wouldn't look for her that way.

And for eight days Grace has been upstairs in room 23-19. She's snuck down for food and entertainment at odd hours of the night wearing baggy clothing and trying to hide her hair, but other than that she's been in her room, trying to pass the time.

After she asked for an invisibility cloak (and received a cheeky answer about facing your problems from Bar) she decides that enough is enough. If the door isn't going to open then she's going to sit down in a booth and stare at it until it does.

She's been there for exactly eighty-seven minutes, two and a half Bill milkshakes, twenty four hip hop songs, and forty six pages of doodling. All of this is scattered along the booth - plus three coloring books, one jump rope, nine children's books, a large basket of assorted candy and a small lizard like creature which Grace may or not have named Moe.

She is obviously not hiding tonight - she seems much more focused on staring down the Door-That-Must-Return and talking to her new best friend Moe (he's smarter than he looks).

When's the last time Kate came downstairs at two forty five in the morning anyway?

gracie, lellow kake
