I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
So the Oscar nominations are out. Check out oscars.com for a complete list of nominees. Regarding my predictions...
Picture: as I kind of expected, Capote snuck in and took Walk the Line's place (4/5 right)
Actor: happy Russell Crowe didn't make it (5/5 right)
Actress: very excited Keira Knightley made the list, Naomi Watts (who was a VERY long shot) didn't make it, and Judi Dench took her place (4/5 right)
Supporting Actor: William Hurt made it in for A History of Violence (to hell with a screen time of only 10 minutes!) but otherwise called it well (4/5 right)
Supporting Actress: I knew Johansson wouldn't make it, and Amy Adams taking her place is alright (4/5 right)
Director: as for Johansson, I knew Woody Allen wouldn't make it; first-time Bennett Miller did though (Capote love must be strong) (4/5 right)
Looking back, those were pretty solid predictions... Now just 5 weeks until the big show. Time to see more movies!
