So I'm sitting here at the Old Pharmacy on NW 21st and Glisan, working on my grad school apps in the middle of the night, and a guy walks up to me and hands me a piece of paper and then walks out the door. Here's what it says:
I don't know who you are, and I will almost certainly never see you again, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how beautiful I think you are. You brought a bit of light to my otherwise pretty lame night and, for that, I thank you. I truly hope that you are able to appreciate how strikingly pretty you are and that the rest of your night is wonderful.
Sincerely,
[guy's first name removed for privacy]
And that's followed by a little stick-figure drawing of a smiling person with a speech bubble that says, "thumbs up dude!"
This is, without a doubt, one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me. I don't know who you are either, but you made my night. Thanks.
