I just want to send out a thank you to the girl who tried to help me on the bus the other day--when I slipped as the bus started moving (trying to put my son in a seat) and dislocated my right kneecap. Thank you for trying to call my fiance to get my son for me, and for calling 911 when the bus driver appeared to be ignoring my pleas for help.
It amazes me how many people ignore you when you need help, and I'm very grateful to the one person who did her best to help me in my moment of crisis. I'm sorry if my injury made you late to your destination.
(I don't have any way to contact this girl so maybe she reads lj and will know what I'm talking about. :) I never got a chance to thank her.)
