fact: religion and philosophy address the same issue, namely the lonliness of humanity. religion creates a God and Devil to fill the void, philosophy embraces that void. There is not despair in embracing it when you know that being able to hold on to a real person is just about a billion times better than clinging to the myth of deity.
fact: in the three religions that dominate the western world (judaism, christianity, and islam) there is a great flood, and that comes from the story of gilgamesh. adam and eve, the story of the apple, came from greek and roman legends. Eve is Pandora, Adam is Prometheus.
These are just some thoughts i've been having, regarding religion. i don't know or care.
It's gotten colder here. I have to wear coats when i walk at night. It's getting close to thanksgiving (and then i will be back home in your arms) and then christmas (and we'll have a cup of chai next to the fireplace) and then next semester. God i hope physics doesn't destroy my grades this semester. Everything else is great, lifewise and schoolwise.
I'm so tired lately, i'm afraid i might be sick. Otherwise, though, i feel fine. Maybe i'm narcoleptic. Or maybe i've been bored in that class.
i don't really have much to say. am i antisocial? yes. do i mind? no. i just can't find the energy to go deal with people i don't really care about. instead, i'll spend my time talking to you, darling, because i do care. i miss you terribly these days and nights; i dream better when you're around.
that's all, i'll give you all a real update eventually.
