I'd like to go for Obama's inauguration, and seeing as it's the same day as my dad's birthday I'd really need his permission lol. And I just really liked DC and would like to see it in a less tourist-y way.
We came to the decision he'd leave me alone and let me figure out what I wanted to do :P He was all, "you really need to find something you love," and I was like, "Dad, John Cleese told my entire class that the week we started college, I get it."
I know he was probably worried, but I was honestly scared by the way he talked to me the first time around. He hardly EVER yells, and when it comes to "life talks" he's very reasonable. Just glad to see he still is! :)
Ooh, that would be awesome!! Don't go on your own though :( DC isn't a very safe place for the most part, is it? And you'd be a long way from home!!
Haha, the wise words of John Cleese! I think your Dad was probably more worried than anything else before, I thought that at the time. Parents do worry :) My Mum's never been good at showing worry, she def makes it come across as 'stroppy anger' rather than worry!!! :) xx
I'd be staying with Michael, most likely. Not that that guarantees my safety, but I wouldn't be completely alone.
haha! My mom's usually like that too, which was another reason I was caught off guard- she hadn't exploded at me. She still hasn't and probably won't, since now she knows about my plan to get some job while I think about it.
Speaking of my mom! I told her about May today and she's excited! :D
Of course! Yes, this time it would be perfectly fine. They totally know you're not some dude who's going to kidnap me (but you can try, I'm not going to say no to England).
*grin* I will bring her purple items from Harrods, have no fear ;) And I'll remember that cos purple is my favourite colour too! :D
And that is awesome, thank you :D I will try and fit you in my suitcase when I leave, good enough?? ;)
Now, question, which way round should I do my trip? If I leave here on the 2nd, whoever I spend my first week with is going to get me for my birthday!! Haha - which is on the 8th! So, you up for that? Or should I head up to Seattle first, then down through SF and spend the last week with you?
If you want me for my birthday I'll have to spend a week in LA woop!
aaaah! You should probably spend your birthday with fun people. BUT I would try damn hard to find something fun for your birthday if you come to LA first. We could even road trip up as far as SF. I should definitely be able to drive by then and I could visit some of my friends. You could meet them too, of course :P
I had a thought today - how about I come to yours the first week, and we go to Vegas or similar for my birthday?!? What do you think about that?
And OMG you have no idea how awesomely pleased I would be if we could roadtrip it to SF!! EEE! We could go up the cost road and THAT would be incredible!! We wouldn't have to go to Vegas for my birthday then, we could aim to hang out with some of your mates instead? Then you could leave me in SF :p ;)
EEE either plan would be amazing! If my friends are settled in SF and ready for visitors by then (they haven't moved yet), we'll roadtrip there, and if not, we'll do Vegas.
For some reason my comment didn't work ... apologies if you get 3 or 4 versions of this reply!!
I'd totally love to roadtrip to SF, as I'll be going there anyway to visit my Aunt. And if we drove up the coast road we could visit my cousin who's living in Santa Cruz at the moment! Woot!
I think I'll book to come to LA first then. So I'll be with you from the 2nd of May till about the 10th (ish) - depending on whether we road trip it to SF or I need to fly! I'll need to know what we're doing before I come so I can book a flight if needs be!
I'm going to book my main flights next week though! woooo!!! :D :D xxx
Also, did you come to any decisions about your future?
I'm glad your Dad was nice about it this time. Parents have bad days too :)
