I DID NOTHING!!
NO, THAT'S A LIE! I SAW THE FUCKING KAISER CHIEFS!!! OHHH MY GOOOODDDDD!!!
Amazing. SO AMAZING LIVE.
Peanut was sadly not present (I don't know why. If they explained, I missed it), so there weren't many songs with keyboard. Peanut's roadie stepped in for the few that did, though.
I know they started with "Spanish Metal", but after that, I don't remember the order, but I know they played:
Ruby (YAAAAY!!)
Never Miss A Beat
Good Days Bad Days
Time Honoured Tradition
Everyday I Love You Less And Less (my faaaaaaavorite!!)
I Predict A Riot
Modern Way
Na Na Na Na Naa
Take My Temperature
Heat Dies Down
Thank You Very Much
Everything Is Average Nowadays (hmm, I think they played that second)
The Angry Mob (my second favorite :D)
I think "The Angry Mob" was right before the encore, then they came back, played "Take My Temperature" and finished with "Oh My God". Yesss, because it was awesome, Ricky told us to "have another chorus", and just let us keep going: "OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE IT I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS FAR AWAY FROM HOME!" They kept playing, too. We weren't just singing on our own. :P
It was a full hour of awesomeness. Poor opening band. You were cool at the time, but after Kaiser Chiefs, I don't even remember your name.
This show was at the Henry Fonda and SURPRISE, the crowd was rude. WTF is it with that place?! Keane was the only band I saw in peace there. During The Darkness, some sweaty guy decided my head was an awesome place to rest his arm, when I saw the Dresden Dolls there the crowd was incredibly rude to the opening band, and tonight!
Despite lining up with few people, I didn't make it into the theater until the whole "row" right behind the barrier was taken up. I like being in front, but that was just a minor annoyance, I was still going to be really close. In front of me was a line of girls who all knew each other and were super fans, and to mu left I had a girl who came alone, so we made some small talk about that sad fact. To her left there were two parents standing behind their young-ish daughter (maybe 12).
The opening band played, left, and then we waited for the main event. Somehow, two annoying girls managed to move whoever was originally behind me. This would not have been a problem had they not been incredibly rude on their way. They passed right behind the parents and I think tried giving them some bullshit, "my friends are upfront" story, obviously lame because they're not going to move and give up their daughter's spot to some drunk. So they move in behind me, loudly exclaiming: "THERE ARE SOME OLD PEOPLE HERE!! UGH! BITCH IS WEARING FAKE LEATHER!!"
1. If there's an age limit, the theater should really get on that.
2. OH NO. The very suggestion that an animal didn't die to make her jacket is horrible. What a bitch.
They spent the rest of their time behind me bitching about how this was a "gross crowd" and blaming it on the venue, and one of them started saying how the audience would be SO much better in the UK. After that, she put on the most fake and annoying British accent and kept it for the rest of the time I had to hear her blabber on.
Oh, and the crowd was "gross" because that whole line of girls in front of me were quite overweight, a fact I had not noticed until the ladies behind be pointed it out while they plotted their way to the front. It was so fucking mean. They just kept saying "gross" and how they were going to get past "Pigtails", the girl right in front of me.
They did not succeed in getting to the front and when Ricky jumped down from the stage and walked through the crowd, they RUSHED over to that side and we were rid of them.
I hope those bitches stay classy.
Aaaand just now I saw them on Jay Leno. :D
Ricky: We just did that song [Never Miss A Beat] a few nights ago on Jay Leno with John McCain.
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Ricky: ... so political... well, he didn't win.
Crowd: YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!
I would have taken that as a very good opportunity to segue into "The Angry Mob", personally ;)
