International Rick Astley Day

Oh god. How sad is it that I actually went on a mad search through the LJ start page (or whatever that's called) in order to get Rick Roll'd?! I've never been Rick Roll'd. The stupid snapshots on links let me know I'm about to click on the video, preventing such a joyful experience! (But also keeping me safe from crazy links that are tiled with rectums and/or make my browser go batshit. Damn you, asswipe on sf_drama!!)

So yeah, I clicked but since I already knew where it was going, I don't think it counts.

I need that song on my iPod so that when I put it on shuffle, I can just Rick Roll myself.

Also, I think that LJ doing it is kind of lame. No, LJ. No. I still like you and don't give a rat's ass about any "drama" you may have caused, but that's not very creative at all. YouTube can do it because they're all about videos. Perhaps a bit lazy, but hey, it makes sense. Half fail, because at least I like the song.

In other news, Latin was awkward. Since it's the only upper division class that's not 102, everyone and their mother is in it. So I am once again reunited with that weird grad student from Horace who asked inane questions (today's was, "Who were the Punics," or something), and Ginger Douche. Matt will be loads of fun in that class. He hates that grad student and isn't being very quiet about his remarks whenever the guy speaks up. Anyway, class was really awkward because Prof Hahn asked us to introduce ourselves by talking to someone we didn't know and telling them how we got here. Katherine (a Comp Lit PhD student) waved me over. Technically I know her from Horace and last quarter's class, but that's about it. Hahn called on her and she had to share my story with the class.

Roman Revolution looks like it's going to be a lot of work. We don't have a research paper like last quarter's class did, but we do have a source analysis paper. Which is a research paper lite. Acquaintances of mine bitched that the professor had horrible lectures because she couldn't "use powerpoint." I don't know, this lecture was pretty clear to me, I don't give a shit if every goddamn point isn't up on power point. I have ears, and I don't depend on some screen to tell me what's important. I think she got a lot of complaints about that anyway in her evaluations because she asked someone to turn the lights in the room down so we could see the powerpoint "which is the most important part," and she sounded so sarcastic. I like her already.

latin, lolz, classes
