OMG I LOVE FRED ARMISEN!!
After the crap that was today, he was just... amazing. He made fun of music, made some music, did drummer impressions, did a very weird Sadam Hussein impression. Oh god, he was magical. Brittny and I got there ON TIME, but the club was starting later or some such. Anyway, we had a lot of time before the show to chit chat and catch up, but he was right on the stage setting up and doing a soundcheck. So it was kind of surreal but amazing to have him so close. At one point he yelled out to us, "thanks for coming!" and we got all giddy. We took a picture with him after the show. AAAH it was magical! He was so nice! He had a bit of a break in his show to feature a lady comic who was actually hilarious.
I'm so happy I found out about this, he was just amazing.
He really did more than make up for these bullshit repairs. Especially since I came home to find bits of plaster all over the floor and our skylights gone and covered with some plastic tarp. I want to know who's going to clean up this bullshit.
