In other news, I am all over this class for next quarter:
Julius Caesars
Ancient and Modern
Classics 180B
Robert Morstein-Marx
A colloquium-style examination of representations and interpretations of
Julius Caesar, from antiquity (Plutarch, Cicero, Sallust, and Lucian)
through medieval and modern times (Dante, Shakespeare, Mussolini and the
Italian fascists, G. B. Shaw [via the 1945 film "Caesar and Cleopatra"],
etc.)
I've not had enough Roman classes and I'm kind of "meh" about Greek history after the Peloponnesian War, so there goes History 111C. That, and Lee's TAs are... kind of asshole graders.
I miss this time last year so fucking much.
