HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I'm so grateful to be home, have the best family ever, and the best friends ever.
And the best boy. :)
Speaking of, the drive down with Colin was awesome. There was absolutely no traffic. We didnt' actually leave the house until seven-ish. Then we got dinner (tasty tasty burgers) and hung around Borders for a while. So we left SB at about... ten? I'm not sure, but dinner took a while, what with how slowly I eat and such.
Meeting my parents went really, REALLY well. Like... astonishingly well. My mom offered him coffee, was impressed he drinks it black and almost as often as they (both my parents) do, and talked him into taking home some candied yams she'd just made.
(By the way, my mom's candied yams are the best thing ever. EVER. They're probably my favorite part of Thanksgiving after the turkey. Oh, camotes, how I love you.)
So yeah, they liked him enough that my dad hugged him goodbye. My dad, people. The same man who hated the ex so much that all he ever got was glares. Understandably, though. They liked Colin because he was very polite and, according to my mother, "looks smart." Well he is, so that helps. bahaha!
GREAT SUCCESS!!
