Well, there are the Physical types: Normal, Fighting, Flying, Poison, Ground, Rock, Bug, Ghost, and Steel; and there are the Special types: Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, and Dark. And as for species, there are hundreds.

Oh no, not all of them. Though I've encountered a great deal of them, some of which only were thought to exist in legend.
