Not sure if you guys have heard this yet, but if you have, just fucking ignore. Taken from my f-list, and crosschecked with the interwebs:
Justin Chatwin ("The Invisible," "War of the Worlds") and James Marsters ("Smallville," "Angel," "Buffy") have joined the live-action "Dragon Ball Z" feature film reports the trades.
In the big screen adaptation, Goku (Chatwin) is a powerful warrior who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name. Marsters plays the main villain Piccolo.
The property is based on Akira Toriyama's popular manga that has spawned graphic novels, a long-running TV series and more than 25 video games.
James Wong ("Final Destination") will direct from a script he wrote, whilst actor/writer/director Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) is producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin later this month for release next August.
